The Pittsburgh Children’s Museum
The John G. Rangos Sr. Family Foundation has actively supported the Pittsburgh Children's Museum for many years.
Jill Rangos is also a member of the museum’s board of trustees. The Children’s Museum uses interactive exhibits to teach children about a wide variety of topics.
Children learn anatomy with "Stuffee" (the Museum's mascot), and they learn traffic, bike and skateboard safety on "Safety Street." Several exhibits pertain to
Pittsburgh culture and history. One of the museum’s most popular exhibits is an actual set from Mister Roger’s Neighborhood.
Children are encouraged to be creative at the museum. There are areas that contain art supplies for children to use; there are four puppet stages with puppets
for the children to put on shows; and children are even able to build their own planes and launch them from "Flying Machines." The Museum also has educational programs,
outreach programs and classes to educate children.
