Omnimax

The Rangos Omnimax Theater is located in the Carnegie Science Center on Pittsburgh's North Shore. This theater projects movies onto a 30-ft. screen that wraps around the viewer, giving a sense of immersion into the action on the screen. This theater shows educational films dealing in topics ranging from animals in Africa to the moon. The platter system for the actual film runs two stories high. Along with the theater, the Carnegie Science Center has a wide array of exhibits from a submarine to moon rocks.
