  • John Rangos Chair supports the Johns Hopkins Colon Cancer drug study. Results of a four-year study performed by Dr. Francis Giardiello reveal that anti-inflammatory drug fails to prevent hereditary colon cancer
  • Supported the opening of the John G. Rangos Sr. Library at St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary in Crestwood, NY
2003
Helped form the pilot partnership of the Information Networking Institute (INI) at Carnegie Mellon and Athens Information Technology (AIT) to offer the INI's Master of Science in Information Networking degree in Athens, Greece. Later helped develop programs in Qatar, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, India and Portugal.
2004
Medal of Honor Foundation sponsors Price of Freedom: Americans at War. The permanent exhibit opens at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
2006
  • Ground breaking for the John G. Rangos Sr. Building, the first of five structures in the new Science and Technology Park at Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, MD
  • Along with Mayor Bloomberg and Andrew Athens, served as a Grand Marshall of the Greek Independence Parade, for the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York
  • Recognized as a great role model and leader by the Chios Societies of the Americas and Canada, Inc. Mr. Rangos will serve as an Honorary Co-Chairman of the 52nd National Chian Convention
